❓The most sought-after medical degree in India. You study for 4.5 years plus a 1-year compulsory internship to become a licensed doctor. It is genuinely tough to get in — in 2024, over 24 lakh students appeared for NEET-UG but only around 1.08 lakh government MBBS seats exist. Private college seats are available but fees can range from 50 lakh to over 1 crore for the full course.

Options include: B.Sc/Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (BMLT) — run diagnostic tests and analyse samples; B.Sc Radiology/Medical Imaging Technology — operate X-ray, MRI, CT scan machines; B.Sc Dialysis Technology — operate kidney dialysis machines, very high demand; B.Sc Operation Theatre (OT) Technology — assist surgeons in the OT; B.Sc Cardiac Technology — support cardiac procedures and ECG analysis; BOT (Bachelor of Occupational Therapy) — help patients regain daily life skills after illness or injury.

👤Students who want to work in healthcare but want a shorter, more focused training path, or those who want to start earning sooner than a 5-year degree allows. Also great for students who want guaranteed hospital employment.
